About Me

If I could rewrite the lyrics to "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey to fit my life, the new (and not improved) version might go something like this: "Just a Southern girl living in a Northern world." On that note, I'm a Kentucky native who relocated to New England, and I've yet to get used to the Narnian winters.

Through the University of Chicago Graham School, I studied editing. I graduated summa cum laude with degrees in journalism and theatre from the University of Kentucky, but I nearly killed my GPA after taking a dance class as an elective (seriously).

As the founder of a copyediting and proofreading business, TYPE THE END Literary Services, I enjoy working with writers from a variety of genres. Some additional professional experiences include freelancing for HarperCollins, coediting a university's alumni magazine, and reporting and anchoring for the CBS and NPR affiliates in Lexington, Kentucky.

When I'm not copyediting and proofreading for clients, I stay up late into the night writing, editing, and rewriting. I will be sharing more information about my writing  journey on my blog.

I'm married to my prom date (a decent dancer unlike yours truly). We have two book-loving children, three nice rescue cats, one naughty golden retriever, and the world's oldest guinea pig.
